Thermador® ExtraLow® (XLO®)
ExtraLow Burners are enhanced with the ExtraLow (XLO®)
feature. When the control knob is set within the
XLO zone, the flame cycles OFF and ON automatically
for varying seconds every minute. This
cycling is normal and allows you to simmer, poach,
melt or hold cooked food without scorching or burning.
Thermador’s patented XLO is a timed cycle that maintains sufficient heat in the pan to keep the food cooking at a gentle simmer. Slow cooking foods can be simmered for hours on XLO without losing precious cooking liquids and you will never scorch the bottom of a pan when using XLO.
