Description

Hi, I live in Alburtis and would love to have your little ones come to my non-smoking home child care in Alburtis. I am looking to have 1-2 children join us, either on a full or part time basis. I am a mom to 3 great kids, 2 who are in school full-time(ages 10 & 7) and 1 who's 27 months old and is home with me. I have my A.A.S. in Early Childhood Education/Early Intervention and have been caring for other people's children, both in my home and in theirs for over 15 years. I currently have a three year old boy who comes Tues-Fri. and has been coming for over 1 year. I had been caring for 2 other little guys but their mom recently got laid off.
I'm extremely flexible and willing to work with you on what is best for your little one and your family!
~~~I offer loving care, affordable rates, great references, healthy snacks and meals and a wealth of knowledge about children and their development. We have a playroom with lots of toys and a fenced in yard. We have everything from a play kitchen, dolls, blocks, puzzles, cars, trucks, Thomas trains, a small indoor climber/slide, play-doh, dollhouse, to almost any toy you can think of. We do lots of arts and crafts and also love to put on music and dance to it and sing songs. When the weather is nice we spend alot of time outside playing in our fenced in yard. I have a sandbox, water table, 2 playsets/slide and many ride-on toys in my fenced in yard. The little ones also love to help me in the garden digging and planting.
~~~I follow a loose schedule but it can vary depending on the moods of the children and what they'd like to do. A typical day has breakfast between 7:30-8:00, during the school year the older kids leave for school at 8:35. We have some free play in the morning and then guided play, which can consist of music/dancing time, puzzle and blocks time, arts and crafts time, play-doh time, trains and cars time etc. Children learn through play! We rarely, if ever watch tv. My son is an active, bright child who loves to play and be engaged in activities. We usually have a morning snack around 9:30-10:00 depending on when they had breakfast and when they get hungry. Then outside playtime if the weather permits. Lunch is usually between 11:30-12:00(simple and healthy, although you are welcome to pack your child lunch if you choose), again dependent on the children. My son and the little guy I am currently watching usually go down for naptime between 12:45-1:15. Naptime generally ends around 2:30-3:15, depending on when they wake up. During the school year the older kids get out of school at 3:30. We usually have a snack right before or after the older kids get home.
~~~I generally charge between $25-$35 per full day depending on the age of the child. For part time care I charge by the hour so you are only paying for the hours your child is here. I keep snacks and meals simple and nutritious. Also, you do not have to pay me for days that your little one doesn't come, whether it's due to vacation, sickness etc. I do allow children to come if they have colds but not if they're vomiting, have diarrhea or have a fever over 101.
~~~I will happily email you copies of the forms you'd fill out for me, a reference list and letters as well as an example of the sheet I'd fill out for you everyday so you know what your children did for the day. I also have a portfolio with my reference letters, child abuse check and Early Childhood Certificates in it you are more than welcome to look over if you would like to stop by for a visit!

Please feel free to email me with any other questions you may have and if you think I can help your family with your child care needs.
