**PLEASE NOTE, THIS DOG IS NOT IN OUR CARE** I have a six year old Rottie named Rommel that we rescued at a year and is now six. He is a great dog but has some fear aggression issues due to his first owners who did not give him enough human contact and I believe abused him. He does not a-tack, he warns off and likes to chase moving objects. He is okay with strangers coming into the house but gets more. I only have about 15 to 30 days until I have to move. I have been working with him for the last five years and he has come a long way. He is my best friend in the whole world and I love him dearly. Unfortunately we have lost our home and I will be unable to take him with me. He likes other dogs and cats, treats, takes to one owner especially(Rottie trait), walks, playing. He dislikes getting your face close to his(i can and the immediate family but no one else), the vet(h had a very bad experience when fixed, dont know what happened but we could only take him to the vet under extreme sedation after that. He was fine right after we got him.), strangers getting too close outside, violence of any type other traits - from what I got from his original owner he was abused by her boyfriend(black male) so he is very distrusting of black males and older males especially. -I am assuming they didnt give him enough human contact when he was a puppy and he and a cane corsso/mastiff were allowed to run from the basement to the fenced yard, so he has a strong prey drive -he warns off and I have never known him to snap or bite unless provoked -he lived with a shephard mix(female who has just been adopted out and three cats, one died three months ago at 16, and the other two have been adopted out).
