Today: Aug 2009 : Angelina came into rescue in December of 2008 when she was 6 weeks old. Through no fault of her own, she managed to still be in the program when we experienced our first outbreak of parvo in 6 years. We had a new puppy from a high kill shelter that broke with parvo shortly after she arrived. When this happens we feel it is extremely important to quarentine anyone in the program for. Angelina actually interviewed with a family just before the outbreak. It was at this time that we first realized she also has some hearing issues. Although she had never given any indication that she was hearing impaired as a puppy, over time she has demonstrated this to be true. We started actively adopting again in early summer, but by then Angie was 7 months old and not the adorable 4 months that she was prior to the outbreak. She also has a special need in that she is hearing impaired. These special friends are not as easy to adopt becaiuse of their "problem". Today, she is a wonderful happy-go-lucky 10 month old that is full of charisma. She LOVES "everything" she meets. People. Children. Dogs. Cats. Turtles. Everything! She is very, very affectionate and simply adores attention. She is crate and house trained. She is learning sign language. She does hear some things, so is tonal. She is very eager to please and wants to learn. She simply loves to play with the other rescues in the program and is what we like to call the "greeter" in the group. She welcomes each new friend when they arrive from the shelter and is quick to win them over to play! She likes to go for walks and car rides. She loves treats and her food times. She is quick to remind you in the morning that she needs her breakfast if it looks like you might miss her on the rounds. She is truely the most wonderful and sweet young lady that is now waiting for her very own forever home. Please consider Angelina if you are searching for that special new friend. She would make a wonderful new addition to any family!! Then: Angelina is a wonderful 13 week old female that was brought into rescue from a high kill shelter where she was turned in as a stray. She was only about 6 weeks old when someone threw her out like trash and she was forced to fend for herself. She is a spunky little puppy with no fear! She loves to run and tumble. She plays wonderfully with the other puppies in the program. She loves to have belly rubs and cuddle. She gets along great with other dogs, both large and small, and cats as well! She loves her toys and comfy puppy bed. She is very eager to please and is doing well with her crate training. She would be a great addition to any family!
