5/13/08Hi my name is Merlin. I'm 7 years old and a cuddle bug. Although I am shy at first it only takes a little while for me to warm up to someone. I'm housebroken and get along fine with other dogs. My foster Mom says that I think the smaller dogs and the 2 cats are play toys. I bark at them because I want to play. She reminds me that I have to be good about that. I show no signs of aggression at all. I'm a sweet boy at heart. My foster Mom says that the reason I ended up in the shelter wasn't because I wasn't loved, it was because my person got very sick and needed to go into a nursing home and no one else could take care of me. I was very sad there. The noise upset me very much. But now that I am in my foster home I am doing much better. I have other dogs to play with and the barking is only once in awhile (and I even join in now) I have a rash on my back side and it's due to stress. My foster Mom keeps it clean and says it's doing great. It doesn't bother me so much anymore. I love to lay on the sofa with my friends, watch TV and nap. When we all go out side we run bark and play, it's so cool! My foster Mom says I am a cutie, very sweet and a good boy and that I need a forever home where I can become a part of the family. I am looking for that special place that I can cuddle give kisses and keep a family company, one that I can call my own forever. Hope you are the one! Merlin www.whdr.org
