UPDATE: She is doing much better according to the owner and was put back in light work, but not quite right at the canter. She had another little flare up and it it is believed to be aggravated by jumping. Seems to be a flat/trail/dressage horse only, but will know more as time goes on. She has a bowed hind tendon. This mare is FREE to a good home that will not ride her hard. Adison is on our waiting list and is not currenlty at our farm. We are placing her on petfinder as a courtesy to the owner. The following is a note from the owner: Adison is a beautiful mare, dark bay with one sock and a star with blaze and snip. She was foaled on May 9, 2000 and is the Great-granddaughter to Seattle Slew. She has had some show experience in the pleasure division and has been schooled to jump up to 3'. Adie is up to date on her vaccinations but I will contact Green Glen and ask for an updated list of shots and dates given. I have the bills from Green Glen for the treatment of her injury but I will ask them for more detailed info on her recuring injury. Since Adie's injury she has been on stall rest for the better part of three months. Within the past month Caitlin has gotten on her and walked with her for no more than 10 minutes at a time maybe once a week. Kate (the owner and our trainer) said one of her other riders was also starting to work with Adie but it would be another few months for her to fully heal. Since her injury she has been without shoes but has been looked at by the farrier and we will be putting shoes back on soon. Adie does not like to be bothered when she is eating as she can be a bit nasty. She does play hard in the field but I don't know that she kicks or bites (never seen or been told of her doing this). She does not crib or chew that I've seen or been told. We are looking for a good home for her.
